A version of the UCC is in force in every state, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Numbering of the state-enacted articles does not necessarily track the Uniform Law Commission version. In addition, some states enacted Article 10 on matters such as the effective date, repeal of superseded statutes, and so forth. In the list below, discrete links to UCC articles (
e.g., UCC–1) are provided when a table-of-contents listing for the state’s version of the entire UCC would be cumbersome or impossible.
